Condition
Pelvic Organ Prolapse
Pelvic Organ Prolapse (POP) occurs when the pelvic organs—such as the bladder, uterus, or rectum—descend from their normal position and create a sensation of pressure, heaviness, or bulging in the vagina. This is a common condition, especially after childbirth, due to the strain placed on the pelvic floor muscles and connective tissues.
You may notice symptoms such as a dragging sensation, discomfort with prolonged standing, difficulty emptying the bladder or bowels, or changes in sexual function. While these symptoms can be unsettling, they are manageable with the right support.
As a pelvic health physiotherapist, I offer conservative, non-surgical approaches to help you regain strength, reduce symptoms, and improve your quality of life. Through tailored pelvic floor rehabilitation and lifestyle guidance, we can work together to restore your confidence and comfort.
