Empower
Expectant Mother
Pregnancy is such a special journey, a transformative experience filled with physical and emotional changes. It’s a time of anticipation and overwhelming joy as a new life is about to develop, which can sometimes lead to physical and mental challenges.
The Pregnancy MOT is a comprehensive assessment that will explore all of these potential challenges to optimise your health and wellbeing to ensure a positive and healthy pregnancy. Yes, pelvic girdle is a condition that is treatable and manageable. And yes, we can certainly prepare you for birth to ensure the best birthing outcomes and recovery. Preparation is key. Pregnancy and birth are often compared to running a marathon, and we certainly would not run a marathon without training first.
Mums
Becoming a mum encompasses everything from the physical recovery of childbirth, whilst navigating the emotional rollercoaster of the postpartum adjustment. These challenges whilst juggling multiple roles and responsibilities often means that mums do not prioritise their recovery, and hope that in time any symptoms they may experience will fade away, but this is likely not the case. You do not have to accept symptoms that may be negatively impacting your life just because you are a mum. Whether you have just started your post-natal journey or you have been on this path for a while, we believe that all mums deserve to be the best. With our highly regarded, friendly and empathetic approach, you will feel listened to, understood and supported, helping you to achieve your goals, back to a healthy body and mind, both for now and the future.
Peri-Menopause & Menopause
Navigating the changes of perimenopause and menopause can be challenging, but you don’t have to go through it alone. At The Mum Physio, we specialise in helping women manage the physical and emotional changes that come with this life stage.
Hormonal fluctuations can lead to symptoms like pelvic floor dysfunction, urinary incontinence, vaginal dryness, pelvic organ prolapse, and changes in sexual health, as well as increased joint pain, muscle weakness, and mood shifts. We offer a range of services designed to ease these transitions and improve your quality of life.
Our services include pelvic floor rehabilitation, bladder and bowel health support, manual therapy, core strength training, vulval and vaginal care, and sexual health education. We also provide individualised exercise programs, postural retraining, and stress management techniques to help you feel strong, confident, and comfortable in your body again.
With a personalised, holistic approach, we’ll work together to restore balance and help you embrace this new chapter with vitality and confidence.
